1. For Existing Members

1.1. What is Times+ and how does it work?

Times+ is membership to The Times and The Sunday Times which gives you benefits exclusively for our subscribers. If you are not a member you can join by subscribing to our newspapers or to the websites and you may also qualify for access to additional Rewards if you took up a 7 day newspaper subscription before 25th October 2010. Please note, short term subscriptions to the websites e.g. 24 hour day pass, which did not qualify for membership of Times+, are no longer available for purchase. Subscriptions to devices or applications other than the websites also do not qualify for Times+ membership. See 5.2 for more information.

1.2. I am a Times+ member but I don't qualify for the Rewards. How can I get access to them?

Times+ Rewards are only available to Premium subscribers who signed up prior to October 25th, 2010.

1.3. I have previously purchased a Times+ membership because I don't subscribe to the newspaper or websites. What if I decide I want to subscribe now?

As of 30 June 2010 Times+ membership is no longer be available for purchase without a newspaper or digital subscription.

1. 4. Will I be able to enjoy Times+ benefits as an international subscriber?

International members will have limited access to Times+ offers as the special events, discounts and competitions are located or valid only in the UK. However, international subscribers can enjoy these events and offers where relevant while visiting the UK. Once registered, international subscribers can download a temporary membership card for use in the UK by visiting www.mytimesplus.co.uk. You must be logged in to be able to view this download option.

2.1. How do I get a Times+ membership card?

Newspaper subscribers will be provided with a Times+ membership card along with a welcome pack within one week of subscribing. Digital subscribers will receive a membership card and a welcome pack after 30 days, and corporate subscribers will receive theirs on activation of their subscription.

Please keep your Times+ membership card safe as you may need to reference your Customer Priority Number (CPN), and you may need to present your card at certain events. Those awaiting a Times+ membership card can download a temporary card for use in the meantime. Simply visit www.mytimesplus.co.uk, you must be logged in to be able to view this option.

2.2. I have a Times+ membership card but I want to change the name on it – can I?

The membership card is in the name of the person who purchases the newspaper subscription or the Times+ membership. Unfortunately we can't make any name changes at the moment.

2.3. I have lost my membership card. Can I get another one?

Of course. Just call 0845 0866 866

2.4. I want a card with two names on it. Can I do that? Or can I have two cards?

The membership card can only have one name on it (if you have a newspaper subscription, the name of the subscriber will be the same name that appears on your card), and we can only issue one card per subscription.

2.5. What does my membership card entitle me to?

Your card is really your proof of membership. You will need to show it at some venues but we will communicate this clearly in the offer description or in the newspaper where this applies.

3. Joining Times+

3.1. How do I join Times+?

You can join Times+ by becoming a subscriber to The Times and The Sunday Times newspapers or websites. Times+ benefits are automatically available to newspaper subscribers who hold an active voucher subscription or an active seven-day Direct to Home delivery package, or to digital subscribers. Subscriptions to devices and applications other than the websites do not qualify for Times+ benefits. Click here or call 0845 0866 866 to subscribe.

Lines open 9am - 6pm Monday to Friday, 10am - 4pm Sunday (except UK Public Holidays). Members of Times+ must be resident in the UK and aged 18 or over.

3.2. How can I subscribe to The Times and The Sunday Times newspapers?

It's easy to subscribe to our newspapers, just click here or call 0845 0866 866 to subscribe. Lines open 9am - 6pm Monday to Friday, 10am - 4pm Sunday (except UK Public Holidays).

3.3. How can I subscribe to The Times and The Sunday Times websites?

To subscribe to our websites visit www.timespacks.com.

3.4. How can I buy membership of Times+ benefits?

Times+ membership can no longer be purchased without a newspaper or website subscription. To subscribe to our newspapers, just click here or call 0845 0866 866. Lines open 9am - 6pm Monday to Friday, 10am - 4pm Sunday (except UK Public Holidays).

3.5. What is a Customer Priority Number (CPN)?

Each Times+ member has his or her own CPN. It's your unique identifier as a subscriber OR member of Times+. You will find your CPN printed on your Times+ membership card.

3.6. Why do I need to provide my birthday?

Some of the offers and benefits of Times+ are age restricted so we are legally obliged to ensure that members are 18 or over.

3.7. How can I change my contact details?

Please call 0845 0866 866 and select the appropriate option from the menu provided. Lines are open 9am - 6pm Monday to Friday, 10am - 4pm Sunday (except UK Public Holidays).

If you are a digital subscriber you can update your details on the My Account page - simply log in at www.mytimesplus.co.uk.

3.8. When does my Times+ membership expire?

Your membership is tied to your newspaper or digital subscription, so as long as you have a valid and active subscription, your membership of Times+ will continue uninterrupted. If you have previously bought standalone membership of Times+, your membership is valid for 12 months from the purchase date. Please note that standalone membership is no longer available for purchase.

3.9. How do I renew my Times+ membership?

If you're a subscriber, simply renew your newspaper or digital subscription. If you bought membership of Times+ you will need to also purchase a newspaper or digital subscription to renew your membership. To subscribe click here.

4. Offers and events

4.1. Where will Times+ offers and events be displayed?

Offers and events will be printed in the Culture and Style sections of The Sunday Times, within The Saturday Magazine and the main paper each day in The Times, plus the Travel sections of The Times and The Sunday Times and on this website too, of course.

4.2. How do I access offers online – do I need to log in?

Yes, you need to log in to see full details of each offer.

To start enjoying the digital elements of your pack, simply visit www.thetimes.co.uk and enter the same email address you submitted when you subscribed. Alternatively, if you didn't submit an email address upon subscription, simply call 0845 0866 866 quoting the Customer Priority Number found on your Times+ membership card, to help you get started.

4.3. What are the terms and conditions of the offers and events?

Each offer is different and carries its own Terms and Conditions. They will be displayed on the offer description, wherever it appears. Competitions have special terms that are described with the competition, as well as our standard competition terms and conditions, which you can see here.

You should also read the Times+ website's Terms and Conditions.

4.4. How many tickets can I buy per offer?

You can buy as many tickets as you like unless the offer description tells you otherwise.

5. Rewards

5.1. What are the additional Rewards?

If you had a 7 day subscription to The Times newspaper prior to 25 October 2010 you can choose to have one of the following delivered to you regularly:

  • A subscription* to The Sunday Times Travel magazine received every month ("Travel Reward") or
  • Regular gifts such as books, CDs and DVDs ("Culture Reward")

* Please note that over a 52-week subscription period, £16 from your existing price will be allocated to STTM by Times+. Your subscription will continue until the subscription is terminated.

5.2. Will I receive Rewards from Times+?

Not all subscription packages qualify for Rewards. For full details, see the Terms and Conditions. Only qualifying subscriptions taken out prior to 25 October 2010 are eligible for Rewards. Renewals of subscriptions paid for by credit card after 25 October 2010 will not qualify for Rewards. If you change from a voucher subscription to a direct delivery subscription (or vice versa) you will lose your eligibility for Rewards.

5.3. Do I have to pay for Rewards?

There is no associated cost for the Culture Reward. If you qualify, rewards are our gift to you to say thank you. There are no catches, no future purchase obligations and no post and packaging to pay for the Culture Reward.

For The Travel Reward (STTM) over a 52-week subscription period, £16 from your existing subscription price will be allocated to STTM by Times+. Your subscription to The STTM will continue until the subscription is terminated.

5.4. How can I swap Rewards?

No swaps are allowed for Rewards.

5.5. When will I receive my Culture Reward?

Within 28 days of making your choice.

5.6. When will I receive my STTM (the Travel Reward)?

You will receive The Sunday Times Travel Magazine every month.

5.7. Where will my Reward be delivered?

Your Reward will be sent to the address you provided when you subscribed or became a member. This will be the same address that we send all our correspondence to.

5.8. How will my Reward be delivered?

Your chosen Reward will be delivered by post in appropriate packaging to ensure that it is not damaged and arrives in good condition.

5.9. Can I have both Travel and Culture Rewards?

No. If you are a Premium Subscriber you will have been invited to select one Reward as part of your subscription package. Those signing up post to 25th October 2010 are not eligible to claim Rewards.
