1. For Existing Members

1.1. What is Times+ and how does it work?

Times+ is membership to The Times and The Sunday Times which gives you membership benefits exclusively for our members. If you are not a member you can join by subscribing to our newspapers or to the websites and you may also qualify for access to additional Rewards. Please note, short term subscriptions to the websites eg. 24 hour day pass, will not qualify for membership of Times+.

1.2. What are the additional Rewards?

You can choose to have one of the following delivered to you regularly:

  • The Sunday Times Travel magazine every month ("STTM Reward") or
  • Regular gifts such as books, CDs and DVDs ("Gift Reward") or
  • Other Rewards we may add from time to time

1.3. Will I receive Rewards from Times+?

Not all subscription packages qualify for Rewards. For full details, see the Terms and Conditions. If you don't qualify, give us a ring to purchase a Premium Subscription, or upgrade your existing newspaper subscription. Please call 0800 85 45 47 if you have or would like to buy a voucher subscription or 0800 29 44 155 if you have or would like to buy a direct delivery newspaper subscription to make sure you don't miss out.

1.4. Do I have to pay for Rewards?

No. Rewards are our gift to you to say thank you. If you have the STTM Reward or Gift Reward, there are no catches, no future purchase obligations and no post and packaging to pay for the Rewards.

1.5. How can I swap Rewards?

If you qualify for a Reward, you can change Rewards on the anniversary of your membership. You can only swap Rewards once every 12 months or unless specifically invited to do so.

1.6. When will I receive my Gift Reward?

Within 28 days of making your choice.

1.7. When will I receive my STTM Reward?

You will receive The Sunday Times Travel Magazine every month.

1.8. Where will my Reward be delivered?

Your reward will be sent to the address you provided when you subscribed or became a member. This will be the same address that we send all our correspondence to.

1.9. How will my Reward be delivered?

Your chosen reward will be delivered by post in appropriate packaging to ensure that it is not damaged and arrives in good condition.

1.10. Can I have both STTM and Gift Rewards?

No. If you are a Premier Subscriber you will be invited to select one complimentary Reward as part of your subscription package. We do not sell Rewards separately.

1.11. I am a Times+ member but I don't qualify for the Rewards. How can I get access to them?

Times+ Rewards are only available to Premium subscribers. You can either purchase a Premium Subscription, or upgrade your current newspaper subscription to become a Premium Subscriber, and qualify for the Rewards. If you are a voucher subscriber please call us on 0800 85 45 47 to upgrade, or if you are in London and your subscription is Home Delivered, contact us on 0800 29 44 155.

1.12. I have previously purchased a Times+ membership because I don't subscribe to the newspaper or websites. What if I decide I want to subscribe now?

If you take out a newspaper subscription and you have a standalone Times+ membership that you purchased prior to 30 June 2010, we will refund your Times+ membership cost on a pro rata basis. The full terms and conditions on how the pro rata refund is calculated will be communicated to those affected by this change. We will not refund your Times+ membership if you purchase a Digital Subscription. Please note that as of 30 June 2010 Times+ membership will no longer be available for purchase without a newspaper or digital subscription.

1.13. Will I be able to enjoy Times+ membership benefits as an international subscriber?

International members will have limited access to Times+ offers as the special events, discounts and competitions are located or valid only in the UK. However, international subscribers can enjoy these events and offers where relevant while visiting the UK. Once registered, international subscribers should e-mail us at customerservices@mytimesplus.co.uk to advise of the address for us to send a temporary membership card mailing to. Cards will arrive within 14 days and be valid until Dec 31, 2010.

2.1. How do I get a Times+ membership card?

Most Times+ Members will be provided with a Times+ membership card along with a welcome pack at the start of their membership. Some members (particularly corporate subscribers) will be provided with access codes. Please keep this card safe as you will need your Customer Priority Number (CPN) to activate your membership, and you may need to present your card at certain events.

Digital Subscribers will receive a membership card and welcome pack on month 2 of their valid Digital Subscription (after the end of the exclusive preview). International subscribers will not be sent a membership card but can request a temporary one for use when they are in the UK by e-mailing customerservices@mytimesplus.co.uk

2.2. I have a Times+ membership card but I want to change the name on it – can I?

The membership card is in the name of the person who purchases the newspaper subscription or the Times+ membership. Unfortunately we can't make any name changes at the moment.

2.3. I have lost my membership card. Can I get another one?

Of course. Just call 020 3060 1663

2.4. I want a card with two names on it. Can I do that? Or can I have two cards?

The membership card can only have one name on it (if you have a newspaper subscription, the name of the subcriber will be the same name that appears on your card), and we can only issue one card per Times+ membership.

2.5. What does my membership card entitle me to?

Your card is really your proof of membership. You will need to show it at some venues. You will be told if you need to bring your card in the offer description online or in the newspaper.

3.1. How do I join Times+?

By becoming a subscriber to The Times and The Sunday Times newspapers or websites. Times+ is automatically available to newspaper subscribers who hold an active voucher subscription or an active seven-day Direct to Home delivery package, or to digital subscribers. We're sorry but short term digital subscribers eg. those who purchase a 24 hour day pass, do not qualify for Times+ membership. Click here or call 0800 85 45 47 to subscribe. Lines open 8am – 8pm Monday to Friday, 9am – 4pm Saturday and Sunday. Members of Times+ must be resident in the UK and aged 18 or over.

3.2. How can I subscribe to The Times and The Sunday Times newspapers?

3.3. How can I subscribe to The Times and The Sunday Times websites?

3.4. How can I buy membership of Times+?

3.5. What is a Customer Priority Number (CPN)?

Each Times+ member has his or her own CPN. It's your unique identifier as a subscriber OR member of Times+. You will find your CPN printed on your Times+ membership card.

3.6. Why do I need to provide my birthday?

Some of the offers and benefits of Times+ are age restricted so we are legally obliged to ensure that members are 18 or over.

3.7. How can I change my contact details?

If you have a voucher newspaper subscription, please call 0800 85 45 47. Lines open 8am – 8pm Monday to Friday, 9am – 4pm Saturday and Sunday. If you have a newspaper subscription with us (not your newsagent) for delivery direct to your door, please call 0800 294 4155. Lines open 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday, 8am-1pm Saturday and Sunday.

If you are a digital subscriber you can update your details on the My Account section.

If you are an existing standalone member you can change your e-mail address on the My Account page at www.mytimesplus.co.uk. Please note that standalone membership is no longer available for purchase.

3.8. When does my Times+ membership expire?

Your membership is tied to your newspaper or digital subscription, so as long as you have a valid and active subscription, your membership of Times+ will continue uninterrupted. If you have previously bought standalone membership of Times+, your membership is valid for 12 months from the purchase date.

3.9. How do I renew my Times+ membership?

If you're a subscriber, simply renew your newspaper or digital subscription. If you bought membership of Times+ you will need to also purchase a newspaper or digital subscription to renew your membership.

4. Offers and events

4.1. Where will Times+ offers and events be displayed?

Offers and events will be printed in the Culture and Style sections of The Sunday Times, within The Saturday Magazine, Playlist and within the main paper each day in The Times, plus the Travel sections of The Times and The Sunday Times and on this website too, of course.

4.2. How do I access offers online – do I need to log in?

Yes, you need to log in to see full details of each offer.

Newspaper subscribers need to enter their Customer Priority Number on the home page to activate their membership. (You only need to do this once. After that, you can log in using the e-mail and the password that you select on registration.)

Digital subscribers do not need to activate their membership, simply log in to see full details.

4.3. What are the terms and conditions of the offers and events?

Each offer is different and carries its own Terms and Conditions. They will be displayed on the offer description, wherever it appears. Competitions have special terms that are described with the competition, as well as our standard competition terms and conditions, which you can see here. You should also read the Times+ website's Terms and Conditions.

4.4. How many tickets can I buy per offer?

You can buy as many tickets as you like unless the offer description tells you otherwise.
