1. Existing Members

1.1. What is Times+ and how does it work?

Times+ is membership to The Times and The Sunday Times which gives you benefits exclusively for our subscribers. If you are not a member you can join by subscribing to our newspapers or to the websites. Please note, short term subscriptions to the websites e.g. 24 hour day pass, which did not qualify for membership of Times+, are no longer available for purchase. Subscriptions to devices or applications other than the websites also do not qualify for Times+ membership. See 5.2 for more information.

1.2. Can I become a Times+ member without subscribing to The Times and/or The Sunday Times?

As of 30 June 2010 Times+ membership is no longer be available for purchase without a newspaper or digital subscription.

1.3. Will I be able to enjoy Times+ benefits as an international subscriber?

International members will have limited access to Times+ offers as the special events, discounts and competitions are located or valid only in the UK. However, international subscribers can enjoy these events and offers where relevant while visiting the UK. Once registered, international subscribers can download a temporary membership card for use in the UK by visiting www.mytimesplus.co.uk.  You must be logged in to be able to view this download option.

2. Membership card

2.1. How do I get a Times+ membership card?

Print subscribers will be provided with a Times+ membership card along with a welcome pack within one week of subscribing. 

Digital only subscribers* will not receive a physical membership card but can access a digital version via the Times+ website or The Times smartphone app.
* Please note, subscriptions to the ‘Web Pack’ do not include access to Times+ (apart from the ‘Web Pack with Times+’ which does include access to Times+ 

Corporate subscribers: those who receive vouchers will receive a Times+ membership card along with a welcome pack. Those on a digital subscription will not receive a physical membership card but can access a digital version via the Times+ website or The Times smartphone app.  

Please keep your Times+ membership card safe as you may need to reference your Customer Priority Number (CPN), and you may need to present your card at certain events.  Those awaiting a Times+ membership card can download a temporary card for use in the meantime. Simply visit www.mytimesplus.co.uk, you must be logged in to be able to view this option.

2.2. I have a Times+ membership card but I want to change the name on it – can I?

The membership card is in the name of the person who purchases the newspaper subscription or the Times+ membership. If there has been a name change please contact call Member Services on 0800 018 5177 (free from a landline) or 020 7022 6620 (charged at your network providers standard rate).

2.3. I have lost my membership card. Can I get another one?

Of course. Just call Member Services on 0800 018 5177 (free from a landline) or 020 7022 6620 (charged at your network providers standard rate), or email customerservices@mytimesplus.co.uk

2.4. I want a card with two names on it. Can I do that? Or can I have two cards?

The membership card can only have one name on it (if you have a newspaper subscription, the name of the subscriber will be the same name that appears on your card), and we can only issue one card per subscription.

2.5. What does my membership card entitle me to?

Your card is really your proof of membership. You will need to show it at some venues but we will communicate this clearly in the offer description or in the newspaper where this applies.

3. Joining Times+

3.1. How do I join Times+?

You can join Times+ by becoming a subscriber to The Times and The Sunday Times newspapers or websites*. Times+ benefits are automatically available to newspaper subscribers who hold an active voucher subscription or an active seven-day Direct to Home delivery package, or to digital subscribers. Subscriptions to devices and applications other than the websites do not qualify for Times+ benefits.Click here or call Member Services on 0800 018 5177 (free from a landline) or 020 7022 6620 (charged at your network providers standard rate) to subscribe.

Lines open 8am - 7pm Monday to Friday and 8am - 6pm Saturday and Sunday (except UK Public Holidays). Members of Times+ must be resident in the UK and aged 18 or over.

3.2. How can I buy membership of Times+ benefits?

Times+ membership can no longer be purchased without a newspaper or website subscription. To subscribe to our newspapers, just click here or call our free number 0800 018 5177. Lines open 8am - 7pm Monday to Friday and 8am - 6pm Saturday and Sunday (except UK Public Holidays).

3.3. What is a Customer Priority Number (CPN)?

Each Times+ member has his or her own CPN. It's your unique identifier as a subscriber OR member of Times+. You will find your CPN printed on your Times+ membership card (on both the physical and digital versions).

3.4. Why do I need to provide my birthday?

Some of the offers and benefits of Times+ are age restricted so we are legally obliged to ensure that members are 18 or over.

3.5. How can I change my contact details?

Please call call Member Services on 0800 018 5177 (free from a landline) or 020 7022 6620 (charged at your network providers standard rate) and select the appropriate option from the menu provided.  Lines open 8am - 7pm Monday to Friday and 8am - 6pm Saturday and Sunday (except UK Public Holidays).

3.6. How do I register my holiday time?

We have made improvements to how you can manage your account online. Once you’re logged in, you will see an arrow to the right of your name at the top of the screen. Click on the arrow and you will be able to select My Account. This will then reveal the tabs / headings which house the self-service features. Click on the My Subscription tab and your full subscription details will be displayed. Scroll down to the Holiday Stops section. Here you will be able to add dates when you won't be redeeming your vouchers or do not want your newspaper to be delivered.
Please note, to change your name and/or postal address, you will still need to contact call Member Services on 0800 018 5177 (free from a landline) or 020 7022 6620 (charged at your network providers standard rate).

3.7. When does my Times+ membership expire?

Your membership is tied to your newspaper or digital subscription, so as long as you have a valid and active subscription, your membership of Times+ will continue uninterrupted.

4. Offers and events

4.1. Where will Times+ offers and events be displayed?

Offers and events will be printed in The Times and The Sunday Times newspapers and on this website too, of course.

4.2. How do I access offers online – do I need to log in?

Yes, you need to log in to see full details of each offer.
To start enjoying the digital elements of your pack, simply visit mytimesplus.co.uk and enter your registered email and password.  Alternatively, if you didn't submit an email address upon subscription, simply call Member Services on 0800 018 5177 (free from a landline) or 020 7022 6620 (charged at your network providers standard rate) quoting the Customer Priority Number found on your Times+ membership card, to help you get started.

4.3. What are the terms and conditions of the offers and events?

Each offer is different and carries its own Terms and Conditions. They will be displayed on the offer description, wherever it appears. Competitions have special terms that are described with the competition, as well as our standard competition terms and conditions, which you can see here.

4.4. How many tickets can I buy per offer?

You can buy as many tickets as you like unless the offer description tells you otherwise.

5. Rewards

5.1. What are the additional Rewards?

If you had a 7 day subscription to The Times newspaper prior to 25 October 2010 you can choose to have one of the following delivered to you regularly:
* A subscription* to The Sunday Times Travel magazine received every month ("Travel Reward") or 
* Regular gifts such as books, CDs and DVDs ("Culture Reward")  
* Please note that over a 52-week subscription period, £16 from your existing price will be allocated to STTM by Times+. Your subscription will continue until the subscription is terminated.

5.2. Will I receive Rewards from Times+?

Not all subscription packages qualify for Rewards. For full details, see the Terms and Conditions. Only qualifying subscriptions taken out prior to 25 October 2010 are eligible for Rewards.  Renewals of subscriptions paid for by credit card after 25 October 2010 will not qualify for Rewards.  If you change from a voucher subscription to a direct delivery subscription (or vice versa) you will lose your eligibility for Rewards.

5.3. Do I have to pay for Rewards?

There is no associated cost for the Culture Reward.  If you qualify, rewards are our gift to you to say thank you. There are no catches, no future purchase obligations and no post and packaging to pay for the Culture Reward.
For The Travel Reward (STTM) over a 52-week subscription period, £16 from your existing subscription price will be allocated to STTM by Times+.  Your subscription to The STTM will continue until the subscription is terminated.

5.4. How can I swap Rewards?

No swaps are allowed for Rewards.

5.5. When will I receive my Culture Reward?

Within 28 days of making your choice.

5.6. When will I receive my STTM (the Travel Reward)?

You will receive The Sunday Times Travel Magazine every month.

5.7. Where will my Reward be delivered?

Your Reward will be sent to the address you provided when you subscribed or became a member. This will be the same address that we send all our correspondence to.

5.8. How will my Reward be delivered?

Your chosen Reward will be delivered by post in appropriate packaging to ensure that it is not damaged and arrives in good condition.

5.9. Can I have both Travel and Culture Rewards?

No. If you are a Premium Subscriber you will have been invited to select one Reward as part of your subscription package. Those signing up post to 25th October 2010 are not eligible to claim Rewards.  We do not sell Rewards separately.  However, you can subscribe to the Sunday Times Travel Magazine by calling 0844 826 7339 or clicking here.

5.10. How do I book for one of your preview screenings?

To book for our latest free film screening, you must first login to the Times+ website using your email address and password. Once logged in, click on the offer page for this film and then the 'More Information' button. This will take you to our Screen Booking Portal.

If you have not previously applied for tickets, you will need to register with the Screen Booking Portal by clicking on 'Register now'. Once you have been through the registration process, you can choose the film from the drop down menu, and the cinema that you wish to attend. You will then be asked to re-confirm your registered email address (as registered with the Screen Bookings Portal). Once these details are completed, click the 'reserve' button. You will need to confirm your booking on the following page and after doing so, a page will display with your ticket.

You can print this on-screen confirmation or the confirmation email and take this along with your Times+ membership card to the cinema on the day of the screening. We will also send you a confirmation email

5.11. I do not have my ticket for the screening, what should I do?

In order to retrieve your tickets for the upcoming screening, you will need to revisit the Screen Booking portal by going through the Culture+ offer page at www.mytimesplus.co.uk.

After entering your email address, you can then use the “Retrieve” function to access your ticket to print off. You will need your memorable place in order to retrieve these tickets.

5.12. I can no longer attend the screening, how do I cancel?

In order to cancel your reservation for the upcoming screening, you will need to revisit the Screen Booking portal by going through the Times+ offer page for our latest screening. After entering your email address as you did when making your initial booking, you can then use the 'Cancel' link at the top of the page to return your ticket.

5.13. How do I take up the ODEON 2 for 1 offer?

Click onto "More information". This will generate your code, which will be valid for
booking screenings for this weekend.

To redeem your code: Click on the performance time of your choice - this will take you to the 'Ticket Booking' page. On the Ticket Booking page select the quantity and type of tickets required; depending on cinema setup you may then be able to select your seats. Press continue, on step 3 your details are entered (name, address, etc) and a confirmation of the number of tickets requested. When next is pressed and your taken to step 4 a box will be shown towards the top of the page reading "If you have an ODEON Promo code, please enter it below" enter your promotion code in the box and click ‘Go’ to apply the offer to the booking.

Your amount to pay will then be updated with the voucher / promotion applied. Then complete the payment stage and book tickets using your debit or credit card. Your debit or credit card will not be billed for the free ticket.

To collect your tickets you will be required to insert the credit or debit card registered at the time of booking in a collection terminal located in the cinema foyer; alternatively take your online pre-booked ticket booking reference to redeem at the Box Office

Your tickets are available at your chosen cinema for collection as soon as the booking has been confirmed. Simply take the same credit or debit card with you to collect your voucher/s from the ATM. This process is only used to retrieve your vouchers; no further charges will be applied to your credit or debit card.

To make the most of your booking, we suggest that you collect your vouchers 20 minutes before the performance commences. If your tickets remain uncollected after the day of the performance then the voucher and tickets are voided and they can no longer be collected.

Please keep codes in a safe place. They are not replaceable if it is lost or stolen. 

5.14. When can I use the ODEON 2 for 1 offer, and are there any exclusions?

The code for the ODEON offer can only be used once, and is valid for bookings on Saturday and Sunday only.

It is only valid for 2D films in standard seating and Not valid for BFI IMAX, The Lounge, Family tickets, 3D performances, IMAX and iSENSE screenings, ODEON Plus, Premier Seating, Senior Screen, Newbies, Films in the Morning, ODEON Kids, Gallery, DBox seating, Premieres, Special events or events not open to the public.
