These terms and conditions govern your membership of Times+, which is provided by Times Newspapers Limited ("TNL")
Times+ is membership of The Times and The Sunday Times that brings you exclusive benefits such as events and offers.
1.1 A “Corporate Subscriber” means someone who has access to Times+ via a corporate subscription.
1.2 A “Digital Subscriber” means someone who has purchased access by way of a subscription to The Times website www.thetimes.co.uk and or The Sunday Times website www.thesundaytimes.co.uk, and Digital Subscription means that subscription, but Digital Subscriber and Digital Subscription both exclude someone who has subscribed to the Web Pack which does not include access to Times+ (apart from the ‘Web Pack with Times+’ which does include access to Times+). It does not include someone who has purchased a 24 hour pass (or other short term access) to those websites or someone who has a purchased access to any other device or app (for instance a Kindle device),.
1.3 A “Newspaper Subscriber” means someone who has a either a voucher or a direct delivery subscription to The Times and or The Sunday Times, whether or not a Premium Subscriber, and Newspaper Subscription means that subscription.
1.3 A “Premium Subscription” means (a) a voucher newspaper subscription charged at £6 per week or more, or (b) a seven day per week direct delivery newspaper subscription.
1.4 A “Purchased Subscriber” means someone who has purchased standalone membership of Times+ prior to 30 June 2010.
1.5 “Rewards” has the meaning explained in paragraph 4.
1.6 A “Subscriber” means someone who has a Newspaper or Digital Subscription to The Times, The Sunday Times or their respective websites (excluding someone who has a subscription to the ‘Web Pack’ which does not have access to Times+, apart from the ‘Web Pack with Times+’ which does include access to Times+).
1.7 A “Times+ Member” means someone who is a Subscriber or who has previously purchased a package of rewards and benefits.
2.1 Times+ benefits are available to Digital Subscribers, Newspaper Subscribers and Premium Newspaper Subscribers. Digital Subscribers, Newspaper Subscribers and Premium Newspaper Subscribers will not be required to pay an additional fee for membership of Times+. Purchased Subscribers will be entitled to retain their benefits until the end of their subscription, however Times+ benefits are no longer available to be purchased as a stand alone benefit.

2.2 Times+ Members must be over 18. You must be resident in the United Kingdom to receive most of the benefits of Times+, although you can still be a Times+ Member if you are resident outside the United Kingdom.
Eligible International members will have limited access to Times+ benefits as special events, discounts and competitions are located or valid only in the UK. However, international subscribers can download a temporary membership card from www.mytimesplus.co.uk for use while they are in the UK. You must be logged in to be able to view this download option.
2.3 Times+ benefits are personal to the Subscriber or Member and may not be transferred. Times+ Members may not nominate another person to receive benefits of their Times+ Membership.
2.4 Times+ Membership Cards
2.4.1 Times+ Members will be provided with a Times+ membership card or with a digital access code. Times+ Members must retain their Times+ Membership card, and produce it on request. Newspaper Subscribers receive a membership card and Welcome Pack within one week of signing up. Digital only Subscribers will receive a welcome email and can access a digital membership card via the Times+ website or The Times smartphone app. Corporate Subscribers will receive a membership and Welcome Pack on activation of their subscription. International Subscribers can download a temporary membership for use when in the UK, see 2.2.
2.4.2 Times+ Membership cards remain the property of TNL at all times.
2.4.3 The Times+ Membership card may only be used by the Times+ Member named on the card and is valid only whilst their Times+ Membership is active.
2.5 A Subscriber's membership of Times+ will run for the period of the Subscription and will terminate at the end of that Subscription, unless replaced by another active Subscription. Corporate Subscriptions are also subject to terms and conditions which are available on request by calling 0800 157 7222.
2.6 Subscribers may opt out of Times+ benefits. Subscribers who opt out of Times+ or cancel their Purchased Subscription will not receive a refund.
2.7 Times+ Members will automatically receive a weekly Times+ newsletter.
Times+ Members may amend their preferences and opt out of receiving the weekly newsletter by logging in at www.mytimesplus.co.uk and selecting the My Account tab, located under the subscribers name at the top of the page.
2.8 For Premium Subscribers who have elected to defer the commencement of their newspaper subscription: membership of Times+ will commence within 24 hours of purchase. However access to the chosen Reward for those who subscribed prior to 25th October 2010 will only commence 21 days prior to the start of the newspaper subscription.
3.1 All Newspaper Subscribers who are resident in the United Kingdom will receive the following benefits:
(a) A welcome pack
(b) A Times+ Membership card (or digital version for digital only subscribers)
(c) Access to all offers, discounts, competitions and events promoted within Times+ both in-paper and online at www.mytimesplus.co.uk (not including Rewards)
(d) A weekly e-newsletter
Digital Subscribers will not be sent a welcome pack or Times+ membership card but can download a temporary membership card for use when in the UK, see 2.2. They will receive (c) and (d) at the start of their subscription and during the exclusive preview of our websites. Corporate subscribers will receive their welcome pack and membership card on activation of their subscription.
Corporate Subscribers will receive the benefits set out in their subscription information packs.
Times+ Members who are not resident in the United Kingdom will receive benefits as advised from time to time. International Subscribers will not be sent a welcome pack or Times+ membership card but can download a temporary membership card for use when in the UK, see 2.2.
3.2 Benefits, discounts, competitions and events may be subject to further terms and conditions, which will be made available at the relevant time.
3.3.1 Only one competition entry is permissible per Times+ member per competition.
3.3.2 TNL staff and staff of associated companies and suppliers are not eligible to enter Times+ competitions.
3.3.3 By entering a competition on Times+, you are giving consent for your name to be used in publicity on the site and in Times+ communications regarding your win.
3.3.4 Each competition will be subject to further terms and conditions made available at the relevant time. The standard terms and conditions can be found here.
4.1 Premium Newspaper Subscribers signed up prior to 25th October 2010 are entitled to access one Reward for the duration of that Premium Subscription period. Rewards are no longer available for any Subscriptions purchased after 25 October 2010. Rewards will not be available for any Subscriptions whereby payment is made by credit card for renewals after 25 October 2010, or for those requiring a break in between contracts after this date also.
4.2 A "Reward" is either
(a) The Sunday Times Travel Magazine. (“Travel Reward”)
(b) a regular Gift (“Culture Reward”), or
(c) other rewards as advised from time to time.
4.3 Premium Subscribers signed up prior to 25th October 2010 must have chosen their Reward on sign up of their subscription. No changes to that selection may be made.
4.4 Premium subscribers signed up prior to 25th October 2010 who qualify for a Reward and who do not specify a preference for a Reward will be given the regular Gift Reward.
4.5 A Premium subscriber who changes from a voucher to a direct delivery subscription (or vice versa) will lose their entitlement to Rewards.
5.1 The Culture Reward will be provided no less than 3 times in a 12 month subscription period to Premium Newspaper Subscribers signed up prior to 25th October 2010. Those eligible will be advised of a selection of Rewards and will be entitled to choose their preferred Reward, subject to availability. Only one Reward per member, per gift cycle. Rewards are provided free of charge.
5.2 Selections of Rewards must be received within 21 days of the date of the mailing. Reward selections may not be changed once received. TNL is not responsible for any lost, or delayed or incomplete Reward selections. Reward selections must be made at www.mytimesplus.co.uk or using the response coupon provided to the address stated on the coupon. Please note, you must be logged in to be able to view the Rewards tab on the Times+ website.
5.3 In the event that an eligible Times+ member does not select a Reward by the stated deadline, the Reward will be forfeited. Members may elect not to receive any Reward by amending their preferences by logging in at www.mytimesplus.co.uk and selecting the My Account tab, or by calling free of charge 0800 018 5177, but will not be entitled to a refund of their Times+ membership, or change to an alternative Reward. 5.4 Rewards will be delivered within 28 days of receipt of Reward selection to eligible members (ie those whose Premium Subscriptions commenced prior to 25 October 2010).
5.5 TNL will use its best endeavours to provide each eligible Times+ member with the Reward of their choice, however if any Rewards are out of stock, TNL reserves the right to supply an alternative Reward. Rewards are fulfilled on a first come first served basis.
5.6 Rewards are not for resale, and there is no cash alternative.
5.7 Rewards will be delivered to (a) eligible newspaper subscribers via the address registered for the subscription, (b) other eligible Subscribers via the address listed in the Times+ My Account page (when logged in). 5.8 Delivery is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the carrier used. If a Reward has not been received, please contact customer services free of charge on 0800 018 5177. Lines open 8am - 7pm Monday to Friday and 8am - 6pm Saturday and Sunday (except UK Public Holidays).
(i) Non delivered rewards and faulty Rewards must be reported within 60 days of the Reward selection being made.
6.1 The Sunday Times Travel Magazine (“STTM”) will be delivered monthly by mail to (a) Premium Subscribers signed up prior to 25th October 2010 via the address registered for the subscription, (b) other eligible subscribers via the address listed in the Times+ My Account page.
6.2 Delivery of STTM will begin with the next available issue on processing of payment and within the first 6 weeks of the qualifying membership and selection of this Reward.
6.3 Over a 52-week subscription period, £16.00 of the subscription or membership price will be allocated to STTM by Times+.
6.4 Once the Travel Reward is selected, STTM will be delivered until the Reward selection is changed or the subscription is terminated, whichever occurs first.
7.1 Once selected, Rewards may not be changed. A subscription to The Sunday Times Travel Magazine may be separately obtained by contacting 0844 826 7339 or clicking here.
8.1 TNL will hold personal information related to Times+ members' interests, Reward choices, participation in promotions offers and competitions, and visits to the Times+ website (and its sub-sites). This information will be used for analysis and research as well as being used to optimise our choice of promotions. Times+ member's contact details will be used to deliver e-mail bulletins, newsletters and updates about the Times+ service.
8.2 This information be managed by Times Newspapers Ltd and appointed suppliers. We will not disclose your information to third parties without your permission.
9.1 We can modify these terms and conditions by giving Times+ Members notice from time to time. This includes modifying the meaning of "Premium Subscriber" and "Digital Subscriber". Notice will be given by and such modification shall be effective upon posting by TNL on www.mytimesplus.co.uk. We will provide a clear link within www.mytimesplus.co.uk to the then current Times+ terms and conditions. You agree to be bound by any changes to the Times+ terms and conditions when you access www.mytimesplus.co.uk or use any benefits of Times+ or any Reward (collectively "Benefits") after any such modification is posted. If you do not agree to be bound by them, you should not use the Website or the Benefits.
9.2 Times+ Member Disputes. You are solely responsible for your interactions with other Times+ Members.
9.3 Disclaimers. TNL is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate content provided as part of Times+ or any Benefits. TNL is not responsible for the content, accuracy or opinions expressed as part of Times+ or any Benefits. Under no circumstances shall TNL be responsible for any loss or damage resulting from use of Times+, any Benefits available via Times+, attendance at an event organised through Times+, or from the conduct of any other Times+ Members, whether online or offline. The Benefits are provided "AS-IS" and as available and TNL makes no representations or warranties of any kind as to the Benefits, including without limitation, as to availability of the Benefits or Times+ for access and use. In particular TNL expressly disclaims all warranties of fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, completeness or non-infringement. TNL cannot guarantee and does not promise any specific results from use of Times+. Nothing in this Agreement shall be construed as limiting or excluding TNL's liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence.
9.4 Choice of law and Jurisdiction. These terms and conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with English law and you irrevocably agree that the courts of England and Wales shall (subject to the paragraph below) have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute which may arise out of, under, or in connection with the Agreement. Nothing in this clause limits the right of TNL to bring proceedings against you arising out of or in connection with Times+ (a) in any other court of competent jurisdiction or (b) concurrently in more than one court of competent jurisdiction
9.5 Indemnity. You agree to indemnify and hold TNL, its subsidiaries, and affiliates, and their respective officers, agents, partners and employees, harmless from any loss, liability, demand, claim or legal proceedings brought or threatened, including expenses of any character suffered or incurred arising out of your use of Times+ or the Benefits in violation of these terms and conditions, and/or arising from your use of or conduct in regard to Times+ or the benefits and/or a breach of these terms and conditions.
9.6 Other. These terms and conditions are accepted upon your becoming a member of Times+. These terms and conditions and the website terms and conditions here constitutes the entire agreement between you and TNL regarding the use of Times+. The failure of TNL to exercise or enforce any right or provision of these terms and conditions shall not operate as a waiver of such right or provision. The section titles in these terms and conditions are for convenience only and have no legal or contractual effect. These terms and conditions operates to the fullest extent permissible by law. If any provision of these terms and conditions is unlawful, void or unenforceable, that provision is deemed severable from these terms and conditions and does not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions.
