Brought to you by The Other Art Fair, join Rod Mclntosh in this exclusive online workshop as he guides you through his process of creating ink brushstrokes, with the breath.

Presented by leading online art gallery Saatchi Art, The Other Art Fair is an art fair for a new generation of art buyers, providing a place for art lovers around the world to discover and buy art directly from the very best emerging artistic talent.

In this time of uncertainty, that purpose remains unchanged, and the fair’s desire to promote and support emerging artists, and create an exciting platform for a new generation of art lovers is more important than ever.  Whilst in other circumstances the fair would be hosting art fairs around the world, today they have created The Other Online Studios - an online platform featuring over 800 emerging artists - delivering The Other Art Fair to you.

Key to the mission of the Studios is not only for people to buy from emerging artists, but to also be inspired to create art of their own.  The fair has enlisted the help of fair favourite, Rod McIntosh to guide you through his process of creating ink brushstrokes, with the breath. A mark-maker who works closely within traditional, eastern ink painting practises, Rod speaks of his work as

“Physical meditations that offer himself, and the viewer, a moment to pause.”

Workshop description:

Rod will introduce you to three brushstrokes that he works with in his paintings and creative practice. He explores through the workshop demonstrations the relationship between the act of making a mark, one’s physicality and observation of the breath as a meditative act. That giving attention to this can result in a deepening awareness of being present.

Step into Rod’s beautiful studio in Kent to explore the relationship between the act of making a mark, one’s physicality and observation of the breath as a meditative act.  Rod will introduce you to three brush strokes, guiding you through a deepening awareness of being present at this time.
