Times+ book club: Hilary Mantel in conversation with Robbie Millen

Online event

Following the hugely popular launch of the Times+ online book club join us next on the evening of Thursday, August 13 where two-time winner of the Man Booker Prize Hilary Mantel, will be in conversation with Robbie Millen.

This year Hilary Mantel, author of the best-selling novels, Wolf Hall and Bring Up the Bodies brought her peerless trilogy to a triumphant close with The Mirror & the Light which was published in March this year by 4th Estate. Hilary will be in conversation with Robbie Millen, literary editor for The Times, discussing both her latest book and her wider body of work along with answering your questions.

Eagerly awaited, The Mirror & the Light completes Cromwell’s journey from self-made man to one of the most feared, influential figures of his time. Portrayed by Mantel with pathos and terrific energy, Cromwell is as complex as he is unforgettable: a politician and a fixer, a husband and a father, a man who both defied and defined his age.

Hilary Mantel is the author of fifteen books, including A Place of Greater Safety, Beyond Black, the memoir Giving Up the Ghost and the short story collection The Assassination of Margaret Thatcher. Her two most recent novels Wolf Hall and its sequel Bring Up the Bodies have both been awarded the Man Booker Prize.
