Bernardine Evaristo’s novel Girl, Woman, Other and Margaret Atwood’s The Testaments, jointly won the Booker Prize in 2019. This unique event gave the chance for subscribers to hear from them on sharing the prize, their success and what has been the inspiration for their work.
Style magazine was delighted to have Bernardine Evaristo as guest-editor for its Sunday, July 26 issue.This groundbreaking edition of Style put the spotlight on Black women and womxn. Black photographers, stylists, make-up artists and creatives helped to create the issue, which featured many emerging and established Black fashion designers. It featured young trailblazing talent, essays by award-winning authors Diana Evans and Yomi Adegoke, and launched a new competition for aspiring Black fashion and beauty journalists with the Black Writers’ Guild.
