Daniel Finkelstein, associate editor and political columnist for The Times has had a lively career in both politics and journalism.
Finkelstein started his career in the Conservative party as Director of the Conservative Research Department before becoming political adviser to the Leader of the Opposition William Hague, and, together with George Osborne, Secretary to the Shadow Cabinet.
He started at The Times back in 2001 as part of the leader team and also spent four years as the comment editor.
